Review of Fort Croghan Museum in Burnet, TX

Fort Croghan Museum in Burnet, TX

Review completed on October 11th, 2014. (Which was the Fort Croghan Day event for the year.)

Cleanliness of the facility-  1  2  3  4 5

Friendliness of the staff
- 1 2 3 4(I am not sure who was staff and who was volunteers for the event, so this is an overall rating for everyone there that day.)

Overall rating of the attraction
- 1  2  3 4 5

Notes: During the Fort Croghan Day event, they had several volunteers stationed throughout the property to demonstrate how things were done in the 1800s. They demonstrated doing laundry, cooking on a wood stove, milking a goat, making lye soap, walking on stilts, blowing bubbles with wooden thread spools, blacksmithing, gunfight reenactment, etc. On a regular day at Fort Croghan Museum (not during the Fort Croghan Day event once/year) they do not have those volunteers doing the demonstrations. They do, however, have some interesting things inside and outside the museum for you to check out, information to read, etc. Be sure to check out the photos below to see some of the items that are on display there. =)

Would you recommend Fort Croghan Museum to others?  YES.

Would you visit Fort Croghan Museum again?  YES.
