Review of Grand Central Cafe/Chainsaw Massacre House in Kingsland, Texas

Review of Grand Central Cafe in Kingsland, Texas
Review completed on Nov. 9th, 2014.

Cleanliness of the facility-  1  2  3 4 5

Friendliness of the staff
- 1 2 3 4 5

Overall rating of the restaurant
- 1  2  3 4

Prices- 1 2 3 4 5 (We had lunch. The dinner menu is a bit expensive in my opinion.)

Notes:  We chose to visit Grand Central Cafe more for the fact that it is the house where the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was filmed than the food. We were pleasantly surprised, however, that we had a super delicious meal (I had the Bacon Chicken Ranch Wrap, Dale had the Black & Bleu Burger, & Aidan had the Pony Truck) and will definitely go back again, for the FOOD. The place was clean, our waitress was very friendly (she even showed us a photo on her phone of her & "Leather Face" from the Chainsaw Massacre), the food was fresh & yummy, etc. My only complaint was the amount of time we had to wait for a table to open up, but it seems to be a popular place so I guess that is to be expected (I am just a bit impatient sometimes, lol.) I do wish they would have focused more on the Chainsaw Massacre movie than they do, as far as the decor goes... There is no mention of it whatsoever downstairs, just upstairs in the bar (where we walked up to after lunch to explore.) But all in all, it was a great restaurant and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Would you recommend Grand Central Cafe to others?  YES.

Would you visit Grand Central Cafe again?  YES.

Here are some photos that I took during our visit:
