Review of Longhorn Cavern State Park in Burnet, TX.

Longhorn Caverns State Park.” in Burnet, TX.
(Located at 6211 Park Road 4  Burnet, TX 78611.)

Review completed in June 2015.

Cleanliness of the facility- 1 2 3 4 5

Friendliness of the staff
- 1 2 3 4 5

Overall rating of the attraction
- 1 2 3 4 5

Notes: We went on a guided tour of the cave, which we all really enjoyed. Our tour guide (I can't remember his name but you will see him in a couple of the photos below) was very friendly and funny. The ticket prices are a little expensive in my opinion, but we were told that the tour guides only make minimum wage- so tipping is greatly appreciated. Cameras are allowed and you will be able to take plenty of pictures along the way, as you will see in my album at the bottom of this review. There will be times, during the tour, that you will have to walk a bit fast to keep up- depending on how busy it is that particular day. There are also a few places where you will have to bend over to clear the roof, while walking. I wouldn't really recommend the tour for someone who has trouble getting around, but for everyone else- I definitely recommend it if you are into caves and/or history. There is a gift shop, trails to walk, exhibit center, grill/snack bar, & picnic area on the property as well. It is a nice place to go spend the day and I recommend Hoover's Valley Cafe (which is only about miles away) for dinner afterwards.

Would you recommend Longhorn Caverns State Park to others? YES.

Would you visit Longhorn Caverns State Park again? YES.

Here are the photos that we took during our visit:
