Details:    Virginia Safari Park includes the Safari Drive-Thru Zoo and Village Walk-Thru Zoo. Ticket prices are as follows: Adults: $17.95, Children 2-12: $11.95, Children 1 & under: Free. The tickets gain entrance into both the walk-thru as well as the drive-thru. Animal feed is $3.50 per bucket or 4 buckets for $12.00.  Giraffe feed & bird seed sticks are sold separately & I'm not sure about the prices of those items since we didn't purchase those.  Admission is good all day (you can leave and come back, just show them your receipt at the entrance.)  They are open March-November, 7 days per week.  Wagon rides are available for those who do not want to drive their vehicles through the zoo (if you have a new vehicle, you are OCD about keeping the interior of your vehicle clean, etc- I highly recommend the wagon ride, haha.) Wagon ride tickets are $6.50 per person & that comes with a free bucket of animal feed. The wagon rides are first-come first-serve and go out 3 times per day. There is a gift shop (the items available for purchase there are affordably priced, unlike most zoos) and a snack bar on the property (we did not eat at the snack bar, so I can't comment on their prices.) Right outside the gates are some picnic tables (no grills), if you'd like to pack a lunch. (Don't keep your food within reach of the animals, though, haha!) There is also a gas station a short drive away (I'd say 2 miles, tops) that serves hotdogs, sandwiches, nachos, cold drinks, etc.

Notes: We have been to several zoos in the past, but this was our first drive-thru. It was AWESOME! Definitely our favorite! Having the animals come right up to your vehicle and stick their heads into your windows was hilarious and super fun. Messy, but fun, haha ;) If you're in a hurry or if you're a person who likes to rush through things, this probably isn't a good place for you. The animals walk around freely, stand in your way, follow along side your vehicle, walk out in front of you, etc and there will be vehicles in front of you stopped/feeding animals that you may not be able to pass. So if you're going to spend the money to go here, just take your time and enjoy the experience. =) It is a wonderful place, very pretty and clean, staff is friendly, and animals are beautiful. All in all, it's a fabulous place and I'd definitely recommend it to all animal lovers visiting the area! If you're someone who's scared of animals, it's not a very good place for you. We will definitely be back!
