DIY Chemical-Free Sunscreen!


     Commercial sunscreen is full of nasty chemicals and toxins! Eliminate that toxin exposure by quickly whipping up a jar of DIY Chemical-Free Sunscreen! It is super easy and only takes a few minutes!



Items Needed:

  1. A Glass jar with lid.
  2. 10 drops of lavender essential oil.
  3. 2 TBS. Shea Butter.
  4. 1 TBS. Pomegranate oil. 
  5. 3/4 Cup Coconut Oil.
  6. 2 TBS. Zinc Oxide. 

Directions:

  1. Combine the coconut oil, pomegranate oil, shea butter, and lavender oil in the glass jar.  
  2. Heat 2 inches of water in a pot over medium/low heat.
  3. Place the jar inside of the pot of water. 
  4. Stir gently to melt ingredients. 
  5. Add zinc oxide and mix well.
  6. Store your chemical-free sunscreen in a cool location.

    1. Exactly!!! We're all exposed to sooo many nasty chemicals and toxins every day, I think it's important to try to reduce those numbers as much as we can! =)
