Have you ever wanted to do something sooo badly but you had a little voice in your head saying "you can't do this" or "you're wasting your time?" If so, hang around and lets talk about that a bit...
Over the years I've suffered several hits to my self-worth, but there are a few specific experiences that have really stuck with me. I've forgiven the people involved (one of them being myself) but for some reason I just haven't been able to patch up those bullet holes in my self-worth.
As most of you probably know, I've worked from home in some form or another since I was 17 (I am now 30) so the entrepreneurial spirit runs deep inside of me. But after 13 years, I still struggle with really putting myself out there in my business. Like video, for example. I've been wanting to start doing videos for a little over 2 years now and I still have not been able to force myself out of my comfort zone enough to start doing them. That little voice in my head always says "You'll look like an idiot." "You'll freeze up and forget what you're talking about" "No one will read your posts or watch your videos" and "You have nothing important to say anyways."
But as I was lying in bed the other night, I had the "aha" moment that I've been desperately needing all this time. And that is this...
By not putting yourself out there, not only are you disappointing yourself by not doing what you know you need to do to reach the level of success you desire in your business.
Not only are you disappointing the ONE person whose life may be changed by your message, your services, your products, or your opportunity.
Not only are you disappointing your family by not giving them the freedom lifestyle they deserve.
But you're also disappointing GOD. He doesn't make mistakes and he wouldn't have placed such an intense desire as this in your heart if he didn't want you to pursue it and give it your all.
And that's sooo true! If you have a strong desire to do something, that desire is inside of you for a purpose. And it should be your DUTY to make it happen.
Who cares if you look or sound stupid? Who cares if no one watches, reads, or supports you at first? Eventually God will lead the right people to you. Eventually the people who need to hear your message WILL hear it. Eventually you WILL impact lives.
Forget about the nay-sayers. Forget about the people who try to drag you down with their negativity. Forget about the ones who don't believe in you.
I believe in you.
God believes in you.Now YOU have to believe in you.
So strap on your bullet proof vest and go make it happen!
